What about tinting the default background of the buttons instead of replacing it? Welcome to Android development, it's very pleasant.

I wanted to get into Android development for over a year now, I've owned a Android Dev licence for a year. but I still don't know where to start :\

@tisaconundrum
I did the same, but I've yet to start it, I ended up going into C# and Python -
@IronPhreak Android Dev license? You only need the Google Play Developer Console if you want to publish your apps on Google Play, and costs $25 for the entire life.

donuts238488yGuess u can try Xamarin then... I do C# too but when I got into Android only the Java SDK was available but I think still native Java is the easiest especially with Android Studio @IronPhreak

donuts238488yPermission to share my apps? Only got to in the store but I've actually have some others I use personally.

Grumpy28878y@IronPhreak I started at https://developer.android.com/train...
Pretty straight forward. If you've seen one statically typed OO curly brace language, you've basically seen them all, so learning Java should be no problem if you've used C# or C++.
Taking a class on Android Development. I'm mostly teaching myself here. But it's fun to start diving into the world of designing apps. Here's a picture of my current app. It's not much but it's a good start I think
