One shouldn't use 'rm -r' late at night -_- just deleted my entire NAS storage thinking I was in another directory6

Just modified some reverse shell python code, which could handle multiple clients but one at a time, to allow one command to be ran on all available connections.
I either adapted it to be a useful admin tool or the beginnings of a bot net...1 -
I'd love to get into a career within the cyber security industry.
Anyone got advice?
I've played around with Kali/Parrot and setup a proxmox box to perform pen testing and have a fair number of PDF ebooks and audio books on networks, security and pen testing12 -

Snow may be around
There may be no sound
Except for the quiet hum
Of a devs system
While you want to stay up and code
Don't forget to decorate your abode
For it's that time of year to put up the tree
And surround yourself with family4 -

How do you get your motivation back?
I had so much motivation on the way home, then got to my desk and decided, I didn't have the motivation
Help!4 -
Bought myself a Mi band 2, first thought... I wonder if there's a python library to get data off this...
Oh and getting healthy1 -
Looking for advice...
I'm working on a personal assistant type application, my own Jarvis.
I've been using Python3 and it's at a point I'm confident to host it on server, but it consists of no commands.
Just a server, communication and other functions.
What process would you use for commands?
As in, would you just have loads of if statements? If so, what about plugins?
I'm using Yapsy as a plugin framework, so I'd like to be able to drop plugin files and build up the command list.
This is why I haven't done commands yet...2 -

How do you keep your motivation for your projects?
I've had the same project for 3 years now but I keep losing motivation and starting again.7 -
I would love to develop true A.I, though one which doesn't want to kill.
Sort of like the machine in Person of interest, something which can be everywhere and acts as a guardian for all.
But ultimately looks after me. -
Hey guys
My brother in law has a really good product he would like to get funding for.
I wouldn't normally share it on here, however there's a developer edition of the product which might interest you.
It's wireless earphones but it does a lot more than your average earphones. Certainly worth the look at least.
Thanks!

Looking into web development. For personal use.
I'll be using php and python...
Any tips, like how to organise it, like the layout, currently everything is centralised.4 -
Trail and error... So many errors.
Also watching videos to learn how code fits together, as well as looking for other people's example code to reverse engineer it, modify it to see what changed. -
I finish at my current role on Thursday
Really can't be bothered to create more work for myself.
I'm basically doing the occasional work and browsing DevRant :) -

Now and then, my friends and I have a #FirstWorldGeekProblems.
Such as, left my good earphones at home, making do with a cheap £1 pair.
What's your FirstWorldGeekProblems?5 -
Has anyone used python within cyber security?
I really want to get into cyber security. I'm curious what programming languages are used within that industry.4 -

Any worthy deals that you couldn't resist? -
There are no stupid questions.
Just look at stack overflow... Plenty of stupid questions with answers1 -
What's the one movie/TV show that always gets you in a geeky project mood.
Like, makes you want to build, code or at least desire to create something?5
