				Easiest thing to do is to ban the ip address. Either in app or by parsing the logs with fail2ban

C0D4644187y@Root 😂ooh that’s not a bad idea.
Give him 1 valid response an hour. Encrypt every other one. -

Root772337y@C0D4 {error: "your face", message: (md5 hash of a randomized insult), cypher: "MD5"}
Status 200, ofc. -

				@Quirinus Oh yes they do. Why do you think no one used this attacking technique anymore?
 -

				@Codex404 Ahh.
Although:
DoS: Denial of Service
DDoS: Distributed Denial of Service
DoS isn't per definition the same as DDoS :) -

nett181457y@Quirinus well, isn't his use of DOS correct since it isn't "distributed" just one guy doing it
EDIT: Apparently not a snowflake -

JhonDoe27327y@pokerface cloudflare is cool, never used their "under attack"(shit is at loose) mode though

How do you counter DOS attack? I have one online service where an idiot just calls curl command to one endpoint.
Although my service is working and server performance is not affected, I found it annoying.
Cloudflare could be a solution, the reason I did not use before is user might have to wait a few seconds before seeing the app, but if no choice then.
