Aside building Projects, which is your best bet to learn a new language?

Videos or Books ( including articles, posts etc).

Which is your best bet?

books, because covers more details

Videos never have the right pace, so books.

I prefer books because it is easier to look up stuff if I need something.

Also I look much smarter reading a book on my way to work :]

Videos are too slow and you cant skim them like text.

Books are boring.

I learn by coding, reading docs, thinking, and then googling if i need it.

Actually writing code?

Between the two, videos for quick intro, books for the details.

Books are easier to go my own pace, jump around to review or to get exactly what I need.

Sometimes docs are good enough, but an experienced guide is useful too.

Most of all, no matter which methods you use, practice, play, and TYPE the code out (don't copy paste).

videos and 1.25 or 1.5 speed

I am a big books guy, but when I need to learn something quick and not deep I prefer videos
