Anyone else have experiences with recruiters popping out of the woodwork like gnomes to ask you to either downgrade or totally change careers?

Just the other day someone on LinkedIn asked me to teach at a charter school... for half the pay. Why would ANYONE??

I got spammed a lot on LinkedIn so I asked one recruiter claiming "you are available for jobs" if she could send me a screenshot of my profile, as I did not believe her, because I turned off everything concerning privacy etc.
Turns out there are some more settings on a different page...

The spam has ceased as far as I can tell now.
