crisz81916ySo you work from 8am to 4pm? Omg I want your life, you have half of the day free. What about lunch break? In which country do you work?
-
juchiast626yYou should adjust your alarm, it might be earlier than needed. Find out at which time you really wake up, then set the alarm just a little earlier than that. Don't go too hard on yourself.
Try to stop watching porn too, as others has pointed out, but it might be hard to do. So I'd say try to develope a positive habit, like reading or drawing or whatever that you might enjoy. -
colaguy5466yAppreciate the enormous feedback with lots of great advices. The time has come. No matter how difficult it may be, I'll stop porn. It's a deadly disease.

I adhere to the suggestion of leaving porn, will also add that I don't like NoFap, fapping is ok in my opinion (as long as the amount of times per day is never more than... i dunno, 3? 4?).
I think cutting off porn for a few weeks (or at least **not watching everyday**) is a good experiment to see if your general well being improves.
I stopped watching at some point and while it didn't fix all my shit, I definitely feel better in general.
There's still no conclusive consensus in the sci comm whether porn is good or bad, but that might change in the following years. -
@irene I find fapping the best way of cutting of porn... no urge to watch porn if you're not horny 😄
-
@irene ok, your statement is a bit... triggering
So, by too much fapping, do you mean those people that have a compulsive need to fap?
If that's the case, then it's all cool.
I don't agree at all with that part of exhausting and hijacking the brain. -
Pickman6526yHaving too much sex is not good for the brain. Excessive level of dopamine can lead your body to produce less and this can lead you to depression and also mess with your sleep cycle. However be careful if you hold back because a sudden decrease of dopamine can be tough to face. I would suggest you to go out for a walk (physical activity is great to raise the mood) and to go to a movie-theater occasionally. If you can involve a colleague or a friend it's better.

meowxiik3466yIf I may contribute with my piece of advice: get rid of the internet.
Not permanently, but definitely when you should be working / productive. I got one of the timer plug switches that switch the internet off at the times I want to be productive and it helped immensely. -
7/8: Maybe try to break down planned things into smaller chunks and try to do at least one small chunk per day.
They should be much easier to accomplish and you should feel better when at least completing one chunk. You may even get the motivation for next one.
