Cool, you can run VSCode on your server as a webapp. No more vim.

    Since when is a phone number the new email?

    @nitwhiz the data mining wars have changed their game.

    We “the people” started using disposable emails, phone numbers are a bit harder to fake, although there are services for that.

    @nitwhiz oh... weird.
    yeah just watch this video or run it on your machine via docker.

    @heyheni that's pretty nice. I don't know why anyone would do this but it's very nice.

    @sam21s I'm not a dev. And my knowledge of docker is limited.
    I can get it running on my mac but i can't connect with my phone to my localhost ip. But this don't mean anything i've seen screenshots on google image search. Try it and share your experience with us please 🙂

    @heyheni run a dns proxy or configure your router to have a virtual server routing back to the Mac / docker container. Change dns on phone to use router settings for wifi and bam... with a bit of elbow grease you should connect.

    @C0D4 that's the point where i always dispair with docker. Spent countless hours to understand and put the networking part in action. Failed every time. Don't feel like to spend any more time on this. Had enough frustration. 😢
    But maybe one day... I'll overcome this. A brave graphic designer wrestle the 🐋 docker.

    The fuck do you mean by: "no more vim"?. I've been using vim for the last 3 days and I'm already more productive than I was in vscode.

    @heyheni Docker is really no that difficult by itself. I took a course on docker on udemy by bret fisher and have been pretty sufficient since then.

    It might be that if you understand aspects like networking by itself you can more easily use docker.
