Xamarin is, hands down, the most annoying fucking thing I've worked with. Like more annoying than windows crashes and random fucks asking me to hack shit.

I am so tired and frustrated, after every work day. It's like I'm trading bug for bug.

I worked with Xamarin long before Microsoft bought it, and there it was good.
Xamarin is one more example of Microsoft making software bad.

I am working and still work with xamarin..
The environment is not stable at all, many strange errors and crashes on the environment itself..
But once you're lucky and get everything ~almost~ ok, then it will be a good experience on the cross platforms world.

@Sumafu Completely disagree, if anything, it was worse years back before Microsoft acquired it.
There are still issues, but I find it's better than it ever was and no better alternative exists imo.

@reactor agreed. It was waaay worse before Microsoft bought it, and it being bad now is not their fault. Hard to fix such a broken implementation

@Sumafu I never used it before the acquisition, so I wouldn't know how different it is now.

I chose it because at the time I felt there were parts of both IOS and Android platforms that I wouldn't have been able to access with the then available alternatives.

Now I spend most of my time creating custom renderers for everything 😂.

@peterSabs Xamarin.Forms is the crap of the crap..
It's way better if you implement the UI in the Platform Specific project.. and let the business logic handled in the shared project.

I've just been playing around with Xamarin now off and on for a year. Every time I get the notion to build something....I swear to God I near come to necking myself! Why is so fucking hard to get shit working together!! I spend half my time searching for updates, or packages that aren't compatible with Forms......chasing down random code errors that were working perfectly fine 2 fucking hours earlier!

Fuck me! I gotta walk away before I break another monitor.
