Elyz69656yCan't speak for everyone, but I picked the avatar I felt looked like me the most. Why are you asking? 🤔
-
Kinda a weird thing to ask, tbh. Sounds like you're worried you might hit on a guy.
-
Root797736yThere's quite a few of us that are, but there are a few very notable exceptions, too.
I picked my avatar because it looks the most like me. Especially the expression... -
Elyz69656y@Nanos I pretend to be a dude in multi-player video games because it allows me to actually play the game 🙃 it's a common thing, all my female friends do it.
-
Elyz69656y@Nanos all good questions. I can't speak for all women (obviously) but I personally noticed that I was definitely the conversation starter in my world of Warcraft guild. What attracts me to video games is mainly the game play but also the social aspect as I find it easier to talk to people over text than in person so I get most of my social interactions that way 🙃
-
@Nanos something is seriously wrong with you if you meet that many people. That's just inhumane.
-
Root797736y@Elyz @Nanos I think playing male toons just to get left alone is pretty common. I keep like 30% Male chars, I think? I'm also the conversation starter, regardless of gender.
I also have to agree about the story in games: the lore is usually what I find the most interesting in games. I especially loved it in WoW. -
Root797736y@Nanos Very rarely. Though games like that are definitely fun. I really do like just being able to play for like ten minutes and actually enjoy myself.

Interesting and attractive characters! (Attractive through power and personality, ofc. Looks don't matter much. Think Sans, Kefka, Zant, GLaDOS, Janga, etc.)
