asgs115626yA great first question! Welcome
I don't know if I have a good handle on any of the languages I tried, so I don't know -
In a language? 2, maybe 3 months.
In its libraries -- well that's a different question. Built-in libs -- ~1 year. 3rd party - will not happen. Ever. Noone will ever master all the libs :) -
I've been doing C++ for about 15 years and I still learn things about it every now and then. Though, that is compounded by C++11 & 14

Basics16yWrong question. It's good to know one language well, but if you want to become a good software developer, your should be able to switch between language when needed. Most languages share common traits, so it's not as hard as it may sound.

Newbie here, how long did it take you to get a good handle in the language you code in (that pays your bills)?
