## Reasonable answers needed ##

If you always work free and forced overtime, and you didn't get any salary raise fir a while. and then you asked to learn and work with new language and framework you didn't work with it before, you would prove yourself and learn it or you would ask for a raise first (or you simply you won't work do it)?

Context: fucked up market, no other job founded. and father.

Is there any guarantee that you will get the raise after learning it ?

They don't value you or your work. Only put effort in something when they insentivised you to do so. There will never come anything from your efforts otherwise. But it is entirely possible that the insentive is not to kick you out. In that case, just do quietly theire biding until you find another employer.

Does that language/framework make you more competitive in the job market? If so - go for it, learn it and leave the company as soon as you find that other job. If they are forcing you to do it on your free time I'd definitely negotiate for a raise

@netikras the thing is, more knowledge is more forced overtime and shit work in this company.. plus no motivation to do that.. but you're right tho

@Coffe2Code Don't assume you have to work on that as well as everything else you're doing. If my employer told me to work on something else and I had no capacity, the first thing I'd say is:

"Sure, what should I drop to make room?"

@Coffe2Code I assume you can't say no to the OT [if I recall your older posts correctly]. If so - I'd use that time for my benefit. Learning new things, improving skills,.. Everything that'd give me more bonus points in the next interview.

When times are hard I suck it up and push through using every possibility I get to increase my chances of success. Some of those possibilities are to be used strategically in the future. I believe your forced OT is a very, very good thing for your getaway :)
