It's probably the scariest thing you'll ever do, best wishes for the both of you! -
Congratulations!
Best advice from someone who has been married for 25 years.
"A happy wife makes for a happy life"
Best wishes for you both! -
suprano38145yAwesome. Congrats mate. Now send those wedding invitations or post them here. Imagine a bunch of programmers and IT folks at your wedding. 😁
-
@suprano I am not sure if this will be the best wedding ever or the most boring one!

cbartle3205yCongratulations. I hope your lives together are full of adventure, learning and growth.

Wow! Congrats!
Now, remember to recognise what issues really really matters to you, and communicate calmly when those arises.
The rest of the issues? "Yes, dear". If they aren't something you are deeply invested in emotionally or otherwise, fuck it, let her win /have her way or what ever.
Discuss them, offer advice, but yield.
Wives are often orders of magnitude more emotionally invested in issues regarding house, family, relationship etc.
Also, try to negotiate some fair "me" time away from each other. And I'm not talking about guys/girls out, but something productive/mentally stimulating/workout/gardening.
You will fail at these a lot, but you'll learn. I know I still fail, but I'm learning each day as well.
Just some advice from the trenches. Just rounded 12 yrs this month with house, SUV, kids and the whole 9 yards...
