Anyone ever bought a laptop from ststem76 or from purism? I'm looking for a good laptop for development and gaming. (I'm a Linux fanatic btw)

@jurion Linux gaming is decent right now, companies like Aspyr have been porting stuff to Linux, and Valve's Proton is an absolute godsend.

Still a much crappier experience overall than Windows (many ports are just "playable", not good, and tons of issues here and there) and a lot of time spent digging through configs, but whatever, it's doable now.

I'm more of a single player gamer : vampyr, divinity sin 2, pillars of eternity etc

Those games work amazing on Linux.

I heard system76 is a just an expensive plastic

Edit: it's hard to get a laptop with good development and linux, PC on the other hand...

@devTea I'm essentially looking for a decent gpu and the equivalent to an i7-8700.
