Why is there no music player for Linux with a clean, organized UI and only the basic features? (showing album covers, search, sorting by genre, artist etc)? All players so far are either buggy, look like shit, or have some cloud sync stuff .. I just want a simple mp3 player man D:

@hubiruchi I don't like the UI at all. Something like the google music player would be cool. It has a clean and nice UI. But then again it's google so I won't use it. I want something that doesn't force me to login...

Mplayer. It does the job and does it well. And it only has basic features in the main view

@irene what do you mean? Mplayer! It's nice and clean!

@irene isn't that the case for all the players, not just linux? :)

@irene My guess is that open-source (thats more common on linux) doesnt usualy have a dedicated designer (people contribute without meeting). Most opensourcerers are programmers without much UI design experience.
