It doesn't have to be VNC though, I would like to have something like just a floating terminal in front of me, and maybe an IDE or two next to that
-
@Htahboub: Absolutely.. I prefer emacs so even capability of a single ssh and then some kind of terminal multiplexer would be awesome!

ezbie4468yI'm not really into VR. I feel like the regular monitors caused enough damage to my eyes already.
PS: I have astigmatism, gotten from staying until late night on the pc with the lights turned off. -
@Htahboub: if I get some time I'll try writing something myself. I mean how hard could it be
(hue hue hue.. no, I'm not a PM.) JK -
trogus133388yResolution for reading text isn't so great yet (I have the Vive). Needs 4k+ in each eye before virtual desktops become something you'd want to stare at all day. Also headset comfort could use an upgrade, though I hear the Oculus is more comfortable than the Vive. Most I can get out of a session is an hour or so before eye strain, nausea from motion sickness, or pressure on nose ridge gets to me

Kanimaru7808yBut the most of them are crap. Also they have to improve the readability in the headsets. I playing with a though of vr programm language something like the drag and drop of things or something like that

DotM8308y@mohitsharma44 what @u205517 said, "Virtual Desktop".
There is more software on steam but I think that's one of the best in there according to reviews

Everytime someone launches a VR headset, people are talking about being able to watch movies in their "personal theater" and I'm here hoping there will be a desktop mirroring or something like a vnc client compatible with the headset so that I can have *infinite* monitors and code more efficiently. I might look stupid swiveling on a chair wearing a headset but hey.. I'll enjoy it!
Imagine.. 32 monitors, a nice piece of noise-cancelling headphones, a swivel chair with keyboard attached ergonomically, backrest bent to near 40degrees..
