    Sadly this also has become the OS and networks try and push to control there access, if they control the libs the dev users they control the data.

    I used to think that for being an excellent developer there is no need of having a proper knowledge of algo and DS. But later on I realised how important it is as it helps in writing optimised and efficient codes.

    One should, at least, know some basic stuff, like Quicksort (maybe even stable Quicksort), DFS, BFS,...

    Just know the basics in algo's as one has to deal with the lates tech and frameworks way more often.

    @dUcKtYpEd But for big companies (like google) algo and DS is a must.
