Soon launching a social networking app just for devs. Post Dev memes, Collab, rant, brainstorm over ideas, reach out to anyone for chat, post your cool devspace pictures and earn rewards. Stay tuned!

Ps- I know there are many similar platforms, this is just a project I developed learning coding app development so just don't brag me about the concept. Although, a better UI/UX never hurts!

The project is fully coded by me and am open for Sr. Devs collabs for the project.

Interesting concept, not quite sure where you got the idea from 🤔

    You should name it devAnger

@C0D4 Thanks alot! Concept is not anything very new, main motive is to provide better user experience and build strong dev community. Cached by the phrase "you don't need to do something different, instead do something differently."

@12bitfloat That's a great name! But that's what all devrant is about!

"app" and that's where it fails yet again, but good luck.

@JoshBent I don't understand. What are you trying to say?
  • 1
@ddev being mobile only is a huge mistake, is all I am saying, if you fail to understand why, that's fine.
  • 2
@JoshBent I didn’t realise until today that devRant wasn’t limited to the mobile space.

@rickh that's for a (stupid) reason and don't use desktop without checking my github, it's horrendous in e.g. notifications.
  • 1
@JoshBent sure looks pretty though. So it was a mistake to build a desktop version, or was it a mistake to market the mobile app primarily?
  • 0
@rickh horrendous as in basic UX that the mobile app offers and it wasn't a "mistake" it was a planned miscarriage of sorts, "mobile-first".

@JoshBent I must be showing my juniority then, as personally I thought both mobile and desktop were far from horrendous, and actually pretty slick. Credit where its due, dude
  • 1
@rickh not showing you're a junior, just somebody who missed the point:

    desktop doesn't have for example:

    - show more than X amount of items in your profile, forcing you to always go to mobile

    - no notification filters

    - can't subscribe to a user rants from desktop

    - no proper options as on mobile

is that enough to clarify the point?
