Just discovered font ligatures in vs code with the new font Cascadia Code.

I didn't know I could love coding more.

    "supports programming ligatures... pretty novel"
Fira Code: am I a joke to you?

What about Fira Code? It looks so much better. Cascadia Code looks like OpenDyslexic had a baby with Courier New

Something about the spacing inside and around characters is off with Cascadia Code. I find them hard to distinguish, they almost blend into each other. Making the font harder to read than e.g. Fira Code, or even good old Consolas and Inconsolata.

Also not a fan of the letters "c" and "a". Imho they look deformed and out of place.

Also, that article's author Joey Sneddon needs to try harder with his puns. "Cascadia Code — not to be confused with the German dance act with a very similar name". No, the German dance act is called "Cascada", which is missing an "i" and the entire word "code"

Is *that* your standard for "very similar"? Ok then Gooey Snotton: "Cascadia Code" is also "very similar" to cicada, cicatrice and cigar. Better read carefully or you might end up becoming a scarred smoker who breeds insects.
