So I was messing with mitmproxy in my phone and for some reason all Google services are blocked on it.

Apps hang when I suppose they're requesting to Google api, though chrome works for some reason.

I just realised Google even tracks the links you share with your contacts via chrome's address bar.

I'm thinking of going no-Google, any rom recommendations?

LineagOS, as it is available with MicroG - a FLOSS Google Play services implementation - if you cannot leave Google completely.
This is optional of course, by default it is not installed.

@linuxxx I'm really looking forward to it. I have a Pebble I really like, but the sleep tracker I use doesn't play well with gadgetbridge and the "official" app can't be updated to have permissions that let it tell me who's calling me.

I'm probably going to get a PinePhone, too, and hopefully help the ecosystem along.
