Coming from a Java background, could you please explain to me what is so special about Python these dags :/

It is just different. Different philosophy and architecture. You should just try it. Particular tasks require particular languages. Python is great for web backends & rapid development, although I've been writing mobile games & desktop apps in it too for many years, and I never felt I was lacking something.

I use both Python and Java at work, both for web apps and I find I love building in Python simply because I can very quickly make changes.

The repl for interactive testing/development is very useful too.

I personally find Python a wonderful language, however this does require you to spend time focusing on how Python does stuff to get the most out of it...
