@C0D4 Unless you are one of those ladies who prefer others to realize things themselves with or without subtle hints rather than saying out loud what is it they want, this should be the way IMO
-
@netikras I've tried on multiple occasions. I even mentioned that when I use ear buds I'm open to conversation but the noise cancelling means I'm in the zone.
Hasn't made a difference. -
@paperNoose How about putting up a nice sign reading "FUCK OFF please"?
Or you could hang it on the chest of a grizzly that sits by your desk. -
Root825405yBe nice and use hints so people realize their mistakes. If that doesn't work, they're dense, so be direct and tell them to stfu, and do so in public so they remember it, and so others get the benefit too. If it continues, they're tactless and are doing it intentionally, and should be spurned.

@netikras I think OP is just one little step behind of crossing the line to going a full Karen

mintchase75yDo the "wait a sec one sec there" with one hand and just hold it with one hand while keeping up work, and just keep working until they leave. Then use both hands to type...you're in the zone and they can wait unless there's an emergency.
I thought noise cancelling headphones were a universal sign and courteous way of saying "I'm busy, fuck off" but apparently that doesn't seem to translate to my team. Every time I put these things on people start trying to talk over/through them.
How else do I let my team know to fuck off?
