Oh my god, stackoverflowians are such a pile of crap even though I joined yesterday.

    Why not just avoid SO then?

    @arraysstartat1 yeah, I don't want to answer any questions anymore if they don't appreciate them and just downvoting.
    Just would use it to search some already answered questions and not ask by myself (because no one answers to them).

    @Pogromist Maybe your answers and questions do not meet SO standard and guidelines? Care to reference them here so that your claims no longer appear unsubstantiated?

    In the span of 2 days I created an SO account, posted a question, got downvoted over 20 times, post got disabled and my account was deleted for continued spam...

    SO is great

    @lxmcf what was the question
  • 0
    @electrineer I can't even remember, was a couple years ago, from memory I think I was having difficulties with C# and asynchronous functions but can't say for certain

    @lxmcf I have had a few brief runs ins with highly opinionated mods on SO. I have come to the conclusion that they are young and inexperienced. I have as a result tended to stay away from making comments or answering questions. I do upvote questions and answers as that is easy and less chance of an encounter.

    @Pogromist If your posting tags on SO are as shitty as your rant tagging ("devrant" tag - yeah sure bro), no wonder you get banned on SO.
  • 1
    @Fast-Nop You always deliver and never disappoint! I never pay attention to tags for other people. Thanks for the LOL!

    @Demolishun I just want to do a quick scan whether there's something about devRant, disable all categories except "devrant" - and what do I get?

    Tons of mistagged shitpostings by idiots who seem to think that "developer rant" is a thing. On a platform where no HR, finance and sales creeps are even supposed to be in order to make their rants, as opposed to developer rants. *facepalm*.

    Sometimes I wonder how people who are already too stupid for a simple multiple choice thing can even do ANYTHING dev related except monkey typing until it accidentally compiles.

    funniest thing that ever happened to me there was when i got a comment on one answer (question was: how do you find the right balance between design/architecture and actual coding?)

    my answer had one general paragraph, and then one or two that were "my personal experience is this...".

    comment on it "in general, we try to avoid anecdotal evidence. your answer is good, but you should have reformulated it to remove things likr" i find", "in my experience"... "

    i was blown away. your answer is good, but please be more pretentious and try to mask that you're talking about your personal experience and rather make it look like some wisdom from on high or something.

    This is awesome. I haven't even been on SO today and I am seeing SO drama. ;-)

    @Midnigh-shcode I'd be surprised if that question wasn't flagged because all answers will be opinion/anecdotal.

    In a way, I understand. It's a question and answer site and it's hard to have answers that can be considered accurate and trustworthy when they're subjective.

    @Midnigh-shcode it's more helpful to explain your rationale than just state that it's your opinion.

    @Fast-Nop emm, fuck you?

    @Fast-Nop and i don't get banned cocksucker 🙄
  • 0
    @Pogromist Yeah but you should because you're exactly the kind of moron who fucks up and doesn't even own it.

    @Pogromist No prob, snowflake.

    @electrineer i did explain the rationale behind why that specific approach works best for me.

    the problem was that i said "for me this works best, you might find something that works better with your personality and style of thinking"
