Looking for recommendations:

I have a retropie set up in the living room TV that my parents play. They want an arcade-style joystick. It needs to be wireless, preferably not bluetooth. Known compatibility with retropie is a plus. Four buttons a plus, two is required.

I mean, there's is a Joystick module for an Arduino which should also work for Rbpi.

@AlgoRythm dang, on a PC I wouldve used an Arduino Leonardo with a joystick module.

JoystickInput -> Ard. Leonardo (emulates Keyboard and mouse) -> PC game input.

Basically the Arduino Leonardo would read the joystick input and according to what it is, hit a key as it emulates a keyboard.

@Ranchu That sounds like a neat project, but again, it needs to be wireless. My parents aren't gonna stand in front of the TV.

@AlgoRythm quite possible, there are numerous quite good Bluetooth modules or small wifi capable modules.

@Ranchu That's where it gets a little less fun for me. Rather spend $25-30 on a ready-to-go thing

I am using 8bitdo with retropie. I have two of them. They work in bluetooth or cable (and they come with a very long cable).
