What is your definition of bug?

Bug: System behavior that doesn't adhere to specification, causes data loss or prevents user interactions within SLA parameters.

Defect: System behavior that does not violate the previous rule, but also places an undue burden on the user to compensate for a lack of system functionality or polish.
