This is the secret. When the anniversary update starts, hard shut down the machine, format the drive, and install Linux. Problem solved.

Ive been running distros on and off for years, I kept going back to Windows. But that update hit and I just switched. Haven't looked back now!

When you're bound to software that runs only on Windows and OS X, you don't really have a choice...

@kamen yeah unfortunately theres still some programs like that. There's a lot of alternatives for most, but it's never the same.

Harr harr! The only problem for linux is hardware support but I see it's getting better.
