In Russia we call PS/2 “пс пополам”, literally “ps divided by two”. Reminds me of French numbers system where they call say 99 “quatre vingt dix neuf”, literally a “four times twenty plus ten plus nine”

    Low key their numbering is the worst I've ever seen.

    @Stuxnet part of Switzerland speaks French too and the german speaking students (I once was one of them) have to learn French because of it.
    But we were allowed to use Swiss French dialect and instead of soixante dixe-neuf (60 + 19) up to quatre vingt dixe-neuf actually had distinct names like septant (70) or nonont (90).

    @Stuxnet
    Spanish is a close second, needing a different way to express the same numbers depending on which country you're in.

    The French numbering system is base 20. That's pretty neat.

    @p100sch There's also two other variations for "80":
    - huitante
    - octante (older and less used nowadays)

    @cafebabe btw the French only changed to long scale in 1961, and the British changed to short scale in 1974.
