Why do so many beginners gave this retarded notion that freelancing is easy? Little shits really expect to read one HTML tutorial and start making money off the internet?

The only freelancers i've seen that make a wage compared to or higher the industry pay are the ones that have a decade of experience before becomming a freelancer. The others are studentes or freelance as side hussle

Most people think they are better than everyone, so it does make sense that where others might struggle, they think they'll just be better.

Or they believe that since freelancing can be started without applying for a job its easier. So far so good, just say your a freelancer and you got that covered ;)

But also, in many parts of the world there is a shortage of it tech, and many companies have less stringent procedures to hire a freelancer for a project than hiring some one since its easier to drop a freelancer.

This means that if you can talk you can get enough stray jobs to build the experience you need.

But it takes a certain type if personality and self esteem to pull it of.

So compared to getting through the eye of he needle for a steady job it can be easier, at least if you lack the real experience.

@Voxera That is quite the truth. I've noticed multiple devs doing this

@nanl that was the word I was looking for, confidence, not esteem.

@Nanos This looks like the page is still loading. That empty space tells me to wait, there's going to be something there. 🙊
