MSI is a great laptop option.
Still generally recommend a cheap desktop if you don't need to always game on the go though. -
C0D4669444yI recommend MSI laptops, but I'm biased.
They are pricey, but if you need portability + want to game then it's worth it.
If you don't need the portability, save some cash and get a Desktop. -
@yellow-dog You have to try them. Gaming laptops have been getting better over the years. Also productivity-wise, you can take your whole system to anywhere you want, which is the major selling point of laptops.
For me, creator laptops are an scam, they offer medium specs with the price of a high-performance gaming laptop. -
C0D4669444y@yellow-dog when I have no where to put a desktop in my house, I need a laptop.
I wasn't going to buy a high end laptop but since I enjoy gaming and I was splurging anyway on a laptop that can do anything I bloody want, it is fine in my books, sure I could have spent the same on a desktop and gotten a better deal spec wise, but see sentence 1.
I also take the thing with me at times, so a laptop was preferred since it's a bitch to drag a tower and monitors around the country side.
Buying a gaming laptop just for gaming, I'll agree it's a waste, but when I'm forking our for decent specs anyway, what's a bit more cash to get a half decent GPU?

I use a Lenovo Thinkpad T580 with Ubuntu for work (the company I work for has given it to me). What gaming laptop do you recommend?
