How can I choose the right interns/developers? Any lessons? I'm planning to setup a full-fledged software development company.

Any one who is passionate about programming. Are you looking for c and go developers?

@rookiemaverick someone who understands logic and is driven enough to learn everything else. We are mostly focused on app and web development. Knowing a programming language is enough because the most difficult thing is grasping logic.

Name at least five uses for a Stapler besides stapling

@tisaconundrum sounds like a nice question to spice things up a bit.

@tisaconundrum I will be using this next time I am interviewing for devs / techs. 👍

What skills are you looking for

Look for passion. Don't ask them meaningless questions in the interview. Don't ask them to code something in front of you. Instead ask them how they would solve the problem. Listen for people who are problem solvers. Anyone can code, but it takes talent to come up with the best and most creative solutions. Walk through their git hub and ask them about their projects. Maybe ask them to explain why they designed it that way.

Give them a slow computer with slow Internet. Give them a couple instructions and see what they decide to do.

@thedadsparticus problem solving skills and at least some knowledge of 1 programming language.

@stalinkay there are loads of good people out there. Like myself. If you're looking for people check out some of the gitter forums and different groups for devs. I've met a lot of good people that way. Eager people.

    3. door stop
    4. hammer
    5. weapon

@jckimble The idea was to see who is more concerned about getting paid. I would opt to get paid too but I should be willing to work without pay as well. More importantly, it gave us and idea about who is more passionate about programming. I think.

@linuxxx Any answer creative and justifiable answer is correct.
