Why oh why do companies scrimp on hardware and tools for devs. It's a constant battle to even use my machine let alone make progress. I cost 1k a day a decent machine 2k maximum. I have spent the last two days fighting hardware issues.

I find it so confusing when organisations spend millions over a year but can't fund what amounts to a relatively tiny amount for dev hardware and licenses. I fully get that budgets and financial management are important, but a large multinational is barely going to notice if it spent significantly on kit people need to do their jobs!
