My sister's college is making them do their Final Year Project in VISUAL BASICS 6.
I mean WHY !?!?
Why use a software that's discontinued and they'll never use?

    Wow - I really liked VB back in the day. A lot of fun and built some cool stuff.

    @Jumpshot44 I started programming in VB when I was 10. Hands down, one of the easiest syntax of all.

    My uni made us learn frontend dev in HTML4 with CSS2.1 and test it on IE. No seriously, that's one of premier institutes here :/

    @StefanH completely agree but if they can also learn to code with a language that's actually useful in a job search, then WHY NOT?!? It's hilarious and a disgrace. Huge disservice to the students imo.

    I had to use dreamweaver at uni. It was painful!

    @omar-lotfi My final exams in college were done with paper and pencil too. At least it was Java though!! Oh and Assembly too...that was fun 😂

    There are actually some quite large systems created using VB, especially in the UK

    What college does she go to? I'd say she should consider transferring to another one if she's finishing her first year. What can they teach by using tools that are discontinued?
