One bad programmer can easily create two new jobs a year!

Just curious, as a junior, what constitutes a bad programmer? I try to always follow best practices in each language, but what are your pet peeves?

A bad programmer is who thinks his code is perfect, does not refactor, optimize, comment, document, think before he codes, and the worst of them all is the one coding for himself and not for his team or people who inherit his piece of art.

Biggest positive thing you should keep in mind; your best critic is you, there will be a lot of times where you will go through your own code and say; what the hell was I thinking about.

I really hate it when people don't name things properly or shorten variable names too much.

@rabee3 +1 (million) for describing code as art
