When your gtx660 has been baked twice and works for 8 years but your rtx2070 dies at release of the 3080

God is sending signals. Sad now that I have to work with that old wanker yet again

    "Baked"?

@EmberQuill OP's card is running so hot from mining bitcoins that he's cooking with it.

By the way, I hope you chose a good 3080 model and not one of those that crashes thanks to cheap stuff.

@EmberQuill Literally baking the card. It fixes some hardware issues. Usually not permanently though.

have you considered this possible angle: nvidia s u c c

no but actually a lot of their newer cards have had defects and idfk what's up with it, and considering their drivers tend to not be the most stable shit in the world, it's getting ridiculous with the number of people coming into my tech support discord going "i bought <nvidia card> and it worked for literally an hour"

@gronostaj yup, although it did the second time for me

But they were also small visual glitches and nothing too crazy

I probably had real luck that I didn’t done worse by doing that and I wouldn’t recommend it
