For some reason there's no report feature on desktop for devrant.

Like, Fuuuuuuuuuck. What do you do when you see someone openly harassing another then?

    for anyone reading this, give this ranter a hand by reporting https://devrant.com/users/subspace for trying to harass our younger members.

    I appreciate it.
  • 3
    @NoMad
    What happened?
  • 11
    @ODXT it's a shit posting troll. Nothing more, nothing less.
  • 6
    @ODXT he took it one step further than shitposting, and is now making uncalled-for personal attacks publicly.
  • 8
    That is in fact the line.
  • 3
    @uyouthe next time, do tag us.

    I am legit getting more and more upset as I'm going through his past comments. He has no right to behave like that; towards you or anyone else.
  • 8
    @NoMad thank you bro. I tag no one when someone harass me because
    1. I don’t care much, I’m already used to it
    2. I don’t want the person I tag to join the harasser. That’s not an insult to you, that’s my trust issues
  • 4
    @uyouthe come take a hug >:|

    I was legit thinking of getting into fight with him myself, but really, not worth the keystrokes. He doesn't have the brain capacity to understand logic.

    I hope he gets downvoted and banned into oblivion.
  • 6
    @NoMad I don’t care much, really :) when you become even remotely close to being famous you immediately get used to haters. I cared when I had like 200 Dev to followers, now at thousands I don’t care.

    Do you care when a small puppy tries to bite you? I don’t think so. I only feel genuine interest mixed with “aaawww” towards my haters. I genuinely want to know how they live, what they think about, what their world view consists of. I adore all creatures inferior to myself: tiny bugs and caterpillars, kittens, haters. They remind me of who I used to be and how I should stay humble remembering that I’m fundamentally the same.

    Peace ✌️
  • 4
    @uyouthe that's good that it doesn't impact you.

    Tho, it wasn't just you. he's been shittalking to Root and misleading theabbie too. and god knows who else because I can't go further back than a certain amount.
  • 7
    @NoMad now this is the line. You can trashtalk me but not my folks Root, Abbie and others.

    @dfox please take care of your platform health.
  • 7
    Lol @subspace banned. I have all their rants archived though
  • 2
    I rest my case. he went to oblivion.

    Special thanks to all of you fine folks. XD
  • 4
    Christmas came early.
  • 3
    @uyouthe use Imgur, compression fucked it hard
  • 5
  • 10
    I'm honestly surprised dfox still has a taste for keeping this thing running.
  • 4
    @uyouthe my vote is on this: you should delete that.

    Just live and let die, man.
  • 4
    @frogstair nah. jAsE is just a troll. Plus, I think he quit this space. He also never crossed the line on making personal attacks.
  • 6
    @NoMad History has been made. History has to be archived.

    And actually I didn’t catch his last post, now I feel relieved lol
  • 4
    @NoMad this’ll die right here
  • 3
    Congratulations guys, 1 troll down, many more to go
  • 1
    Not surprised by this outcome sadly.
  • 3
    @theabbie all trolls are safe as long as they don't cross the line. The line is between shitposting and abuse.
  • 1
    he told me he was unclesam, there is no reason to trust him though
  • 1
  • 2
    @NoMad He had some personal hate for @uyouthe and lately for @Root, Things became worse, he needed to be killed to save everyone.
  • 1
    @uyouthe so he made a new account. Let him live for now. he hasn't done anything wrong with his new account... yet.
  • 1
    @NoMad what does having a line matter then if someone just has to make a new account to just continue doing the same thing?
  • 5
    @theabbie he was unclesam. based on history.

    tho, seems like he got downvoted into oblivion again. Guys, the dude needs rehabilitation rather than being banned repeatedly. :|

    don't turn him into the next school shooter. The guy was not that smart to begin with.
  • 5
    @N00bPancakes "doing the same thing" is the important part. some adults are like kids. you have to literally punish them through proper means to get them to behave properly.
  • 3
    @NoMad Any attempt to talk nicely to him is useless, Ignoring him will only make it worse.
  • 3
    @theabbie and we all thought the same about you :P
  • 1
    @NoMad I don't think that makes sense as far as the community goes having them constantly exposed to someone who clearly just wants to spam empty content and harass people. Someone who does that doesn't suddenly care when there is no reason to stop.
  • 1
    @NoMad I didn't trigger people, just my arguments, and you guys gave me a proper punishment because I was not anonymous, He won't let us do that.
  • 2
    @N00bPancakes slap them on the ass, aka downvote them.

    They either get tired, or start behaving. first because they have to and later because they got used to it.
  • 3
    @N00bPancakes what I was trying to say is, that you can make them stop. In reality, behavioral therapy does the exact same thing. by actively and consciously replacing bad behavior with a good one.
  • 8
    He’s a really terrible at trolling, insulting, and shitposting.

    I kinda feel bad for him, honestly.
  • 3
    @Root Do you always feel sympathy for abusers? :P Stockholm syndrome?
  • 8
    @NoMad No, I just have high standards for abuse 😂
  • 2
    @NoMad maybe the similar reasons as I have. You honestly feel bad for the offender who is so clumsy that he not only lost his gun while trying to rob the gas station but also lost his pants while running away from the cashier
  • 2
    @uyouthe @Root honestly, I don't get you two.

    But I am one of those loud social justice warriors and I try to stand my ground, specially because if someone does some BS to me, chances are they repeat the same thing again to others.
  • 4
    @NoMad I get that. It really depends on the situation and just what it is they’re doing.

    This one is so bad at everything it’s laughable. I can easily ignore it, and he’ll get bored. If he doesn’t, then it starts to get annoying and it’s worth stomping out.

    However, if someone is actually a threat, then absolutely.
  • 2
    Was the pic actually @ uyouthe? That's.... illegal.
  • 3
    @AlgoRythm I shared this pic earlier so I’m the one to blame
  • 2
    @uyouthe Shared it here?? I'm confused what happened
  • 3
    @AlgoRythm yes. Are male nipples nudity or not is an opinionated topic and overall male nipples are acceptable in western culture. And I’m technically a male so everything is legal
  • 1
    @uyouthe Uh, interesting. Far be it from me to be able to judge
  • 1
  • 3
    @unclesam Are you leaving yet?
  • 4
    @unclesam You really do need some practice with insults.

    I bear no ill will. Honestly I don’t care if you’re here or not. But if you are, better content would be nice.

    Anyway: exhausted, not feeling well.
  • 5
    @unclesam See, this is why people don’t like you much.
  • 2
    @unclesam

    I literally only have two criteria:
    1) Don't be a white supremacist/nationalist.
    2) You can be an asshole. Just don't be a piece of shit.
  • 1
    @frogstair That takes close to seconds to bypass.
  • 1
    Was @unclesam here? I was sleeping and now those comments are deleted, does anyone have Screenshots about what he said? he mentioned me in a comment, is the secret gone forever?
  • 1
    apparently unclesam was back and he mentioned me. I can't see any posts here tho, so Imma let this die and get on with my day.

    Thank you to everyone who participated in this great cause of getting rid of a troll. I hope you all have an amazing day. (:
  • 2
    @uyouthe While in a practical sense sharing a picture is recipe for disaster, that doesn't make re-sharing it in any other form than a link okay. The picture, even if on the internet, is yours and saving it is akin to piracy.
  • 1
    @Lor-inc I don’t think it just work like that in all possible cases.
  • 2
    @uyouthe Not if you also include a license, or if DevRant's license defines it explicitly, but by default nobody except you may distribute things you made. Of course, realistically nobody gives a crap about IP law in the context of non-professional photography, but it's still supposed to apply.
  • 1
    eg. Facebook says that by uploading you transfer all your rights to them, and this extends to messenger, so Zuckerberg probably legally owns the most nudes on earth.
  • 1
    @NoMad @uyouthe Should I be worried?
  • 2
    @theabbie @unclesam @subspace @backspace this was not the gay flag. This was the legit seven-color rainbow flag of Jewish Autonomous Republic in Russia with the capital city of Birobidzhan.
  • 1
    @uyouthe I am worried about him, I hope he doesn't harm himself.
  • 0
    @Frederick I can only think of school shooting, I hope schools don't open soon.
  • 2
    @Lor-inc maaaan, I love you. You literally explained ownership of electronic material in basic format. But, even then fucking zukerberg do not own the material, it owns the right to distribution. that gets a bit more complex and I don't understand all of it, but I know the same applies to scientific journals and papers nowadays.
  • 3
    @Nanos
    "Shadow banning" is how he screeches his displeasure at everyone "persecuting" him and "suppressing his free speech."

    Typical RTFM fail, basically.
  • 0
    @SortOfTested do you think he'd understand a "this is not america" and "we don't have free speech. we have republican (in its true meaning, not the shitshow US republican party portrays) speech" ?

    on a side note, currently the US democratic party is more republican than the republican party. lol. when did the political spectrum there shift so badly towards right? :sigh:
  • 0
    @NoMad
    That's not how freedom of speech works here anyways. The constitution guarantees that the government shall not limit your freedom of speech by law or legal action.

    Your freedom of speech is equal to everyone else's. People can censor you in communities, groups, and any private arrangement they control or have ownership stake in in any way they see fit.

    Tldr: you can tell the gays you won't bake their cake, there is nothing the government can do about it. There is also nothing protecting you from the rest of society considering you a shit heel for it.
  • 1
    @SortOfTested yeah but smacking someone who says shit is considered violence. That's what should change. plus, in the internet you don't get that freedom of speech. you get the "you say something and have to respond to a bijillion people" kind of free speech.
  • 1
    @NoMad
    I grew up in a world where shooting off your mouth and not taking the hint got your ass kicked. I support that sort of thing.

    That's what the voting system is for. Enough downvotes and the problem solves itself.
  • 1
    @NoMad doesn't he? I think he does. That's not standard, but according to Facebook's terms of use, you pass them the rights to any material you post on the platform. /I think/.
  • 1
    @Nanos No, then the poster just committed fraud by trading in something they don't own.
  • 0
    @frogstair

    IP ban is useless.
