One big studio would have to release a game with linux support. Like Battlefield (whateverwillbethenext) with Linux support. That would kickstart linux as a gaming platform.

Technically thought how would it perform compared to windows if it had the same optimisation? Minus the obvious console ports.

And again, note the date. None of this is new. Large amounts of games are already on Linux. Pretty much any company that doesn't view PCs as second class to consoles are targeting Linux now. Probably the two biggest names are Valve and 2k. -
psudo3408y@JavaRules I mostly play strategy games and have happily ran all of the modern Paradox Development Studio titles as well as XCOM 2.
