Awlex177478yIn some asian countries they use the "yyyy.mm.dd"-system, which makes more sense when managing folders
-
Well, when your system was based on the physical features of men and the distances they travelled in 1000 paces, these are the units you get.

I've always wondered why the metric day never gained traction. Decimal time is so intriguing to me. 10 hour days with 100 minutes per hour and 100 seconds per minute. I actually created a watchface to display decimal time. Here's some info on it lol https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

A-C-E56528y@dewguzzler you may be interested in this app I made then: http://github.com/DeveloperACE/...
-
Just add an " are you American or the rest of the world ?" question and you'll be g fine
-
J4s0n13338y@ScribeOfGoD still you could prevent them.
Also it would be better when everyone uses the same system -
@J4s0n why not do everything the same then? What's the point of being different?
-
@DLMousey 1) I have a fiancee. 2) Yes, I am an American, and I also understand both systems. 3) Keep your nose out of my private life.

A-C-E56528y@dewguzzler I have needed a java version if you want to make a pull request/issue for one

@DeveloperACE oh this was made by someone else, I had just found it on the Google Play store. I created a Pebble watchface in C-ish and it is open source https://github.com/dewguzzler/...

capnsoup2438yRemembering 5280 feet to a mile is an extremely trivial task compared to knowing all the conjugation's of your spoken language's version of "to be" yet nobody ever bitches about that.

adon946008y@btfoom Personally I don't really understand the benefits of using Fahrenheit but I like the way for Celsius, water boils at 100°C and freezes at 0°C which kinda gives you a good basis for everything in between. Just seems more simple to me
-
@DeveloperACE depending on the license, if they say you can use it without paying royalties and have it on github or something is a plus as well.
Just saw a rant about date formats between the US and every other country and saw this a few years ago. Seems appropriate
