    @theabbie ah, that whoosh sound is this going straight over my head. I just automatically think of array indexes when I see some joke about developers counting, never even crossed my mind it could be binary!

    @nibor I had to google it too, The reddit post also had a theory of it being array indices, but binary theory was more popular.

    But wouldn't you include the thumb when counting in binary with your fingers?

    @Conrad I would, but that's not universal apparently. I've heard that in many places around SE Asia people show 1 on their index finger because the erect thumb has some bad meaning.

    This dude really should have 4 fingers on each hand. You get it... because 8 bits total and animators are hesitant to introduce "useless" 5th finger.

    Only non devs think that devs are using binary in their every day life.
    Most of devs don’t even use binary in their dev time.
