Now that I am coding for money, the motivation to learn and build new things is gone. It has become all about money for me now. I get tired after coding all day and I can’t open my personal laptop to learn new things and do some more.. well.. coding.

Will I ever get that motivation back? Because I have some good ideas in my mind. Just can’t seem to start working on those ideas.

And I don't know what I have to do :(

I want to make a sandbox game, so much ideas flow in this head. But again, everything is so coupled to family survival. Have I some initial investments, there would be no shit caring for idiotic MVPs and over-complicated PLMs that nobody wanted.

I think not so many devs write stuff on the side. It's just the ones that do make the most noise. Once a passion becomes a job, there is an element of fun lost but I'd still rather do this than anything else for work. Cause whatever work I'd end up doing, I'd still be too tired to code afterwards

For me it helped to differentiate between my hobby and work, I do web/ai at work and trying to make game in my spare time. It is a "bit" draining but at least my passion is there. So try out a completely different area and maybe it will help you as well

Same. My eyes hurt after staring at screen for 8 hours.

Become a good project manager, then you have to sort through beurocratic shit and sit in meetings all day. Then you fingers will start to itch to actually produce something yourself.
