EDragon11404yI’ve been exercising almost not at all. It’s so hard to stay motivated when you’re just home, how am I supposed go ever find a bf now!? π
Yeah I wish I had an answer I’m trying to figure it out myself π -
Yesterday i laid on the floor crying for 15 minutes and just cooked my meals with extra butter and salt

Physical activity just as the clock strikes 17:00. A walk around the block. The walking alone should be a meditation to leave work. I do recommend at least 15 minutes or so.
-
@ostream I think if I tried to do ten push-ups every time I get frustrated with work, I'd just end up crying on the floor for 15 minutes like @phat-lasagna

@HitWRight I miss the finality of the day I felt with the ritual of jumping into my car and plowing the hell out of the parking lot

When you have a child I guess your schedule and habits sort of "happen".
I wake up, go pick up some fresh bread from the bakery
Get home, prepare son’s sandwich, get him dressed, dad brings him to school.
It’s now about 8h20 by the time they’re both gone. I workout until about 9h40. I shower, pour myself some coffee, scramble some pudding and oats real quick.
Then at 10 I start working and I work until 18:00, when my son gets back home from school.
Then I chill with my son/workout some more/watch YouTube depending on what my son wants to do, while dad cooks. If he doesn’t want to, I cook instead.
Then we eat, then kid goes to bed (19:30-20:00) and then I play video games until midnight, I go to sleep, and repeat 5x a week.
I like my routine. I feel safe in it, like I have a bit of time to react if something out of the ordinary happens.
When I need a break from code I throw in a load of laundry, make some tea, or empty the dishwasher. I clean during the weekend.
So yeah! -
I don't.. I work more, smoke more & got fat(ter).. o.O

@mradulovic988 My condolence..
And also Δestitke!! I hope kiddo & mommy are doing ok. -
@T33th I had a friend in college who had a baby, single mom, still got through college with a perfect GPA and went on to get a Master's degree. I have NO IDEA how she did it!! I have so much respect for people who balance work, day-to-day life, and children.

How do you cope with stress and maintaining structure to your day as you work from home? Since I started working from home, I'm struggling with vaping more than normal, exercising less. When I was still in an office, I had an unconscious rhythm to the day that I took for granted.
