@fatkid I had to struggle with this too man! Just show them your starting salary after just your Bachelor's and they might understand. My parents are super old school and couldn't fathom how I could sit in front of a computer and consider it hard work. Then they also heard some of the classes I have taken, like Cal 1-3 and they now know I'm really pretty much an engineer, just building software instead of buildings.

You are in a great profession. You can be an artist AND get paid serious money having fun.

its ok. im spearheading "my parents" startup and programmed the entire thing myself. i dont do enough work for them :/
