Just had this discussion at work when deciding whether to require years as 2017 or just 17 and we append the "20". We decided the app won't be around in 80 years to worry about. Or at least we won't.

@Niro you should be sentenced to a life of solving bugs that others created for doing that.

@Niro I have written a simple CLI calendar where you could enter the year as 16, 96, etc.
It took the system's date, the last two digits are the things where you enter it, and all other digits decide which year it is. If the system's year is 10765, and you enter 66, it will be 10666, and if you enter 64 (or 65), it will be 10764 (10765).

@hiestaa That's already my job, can I have a different punishment if I do that please?

@Niro Bill Gates once said we won't need more than 64kB RAM.
