Good start for people that have 0 idea about programming. But after there really is no additional benefits aside from learning the basics.

I found it more useful to go down levels until I hit silicon nand gates and learned more about the reason for certain behaviors and limitatios each step. Now I have to learn material science to grasp the intherections of the silica layers and gates.
