-
@calmyourtities I think its just because beards are soo 2015... Dude, we live in fucking 2017!!!
-
@linuxer4fun dang! 2 weeks for me. πππ congratulations on being the youngest on devRant
-
@linuxer4fun of course its good! It's just more time to get ahead of the game!
-
@linuxer4fun well then you should try to make something big! (I'm making a small app then I'm gonna try to make an OS and AI, and maybe a virus or two when I get bored π)
-
@calmyourtities haha, I'm 13 still got a couple of months until June 25, I'm on c++
-
@calmyourtities an OS, your dreaming big. If it's for fun the OK, but unless you get an experienced team you won't get anywhere you need time or people to finish such project
-
@jandje5 started with Java when I was 11 thinking about game programming, but then I realised it was a bad choice, have given up on c++ a lot of times, but now I'm close to finishing the advanced topics, I just started sdl2 for basic 2d games
-
@frederickrl the OS is for fun/learning of course! And C++ is great too! Wait… how long till you turn 14? Could you be older than @linuxer4fun ?
-
@frederickrl πππ good job. A new youngest programmer on devRant has been crowned! Also, my name is derived from what I say when people get mad :)
-
@calmyourtities lol. Who knows there might be someone younger, if I'm 13 learning c++, and 11 year old with JavaScript is most definitely possible
-
@calmyourtities @linuxer4fun @frederickrl Congratulations I was also 13 when I started programming, curiously c++ as well, now must of my work is js, c#, PHP, Java.
@jandje5 Pretty accurate, I don't remember having seen it, but welcome to devrant. -
@frederickrl yeah but devRant isn't the biggest community, I've been here a few months and I think that you are.
-
@frederickrl at around 14 I decided to start from scratch and understand the inners of my code, then sadly I paused my learning until 16 because of school and stuff, please for the sake of the world don't do that.
-
@calmyourtities I was learning c++ but now I don't have many topics left, so I started sdl2 for graphics and sound, sadly though there isn't much in-depth explanation videos and such
-
@calmyourtities i wanted to code an os too... Wanna join me? I know assembly, i am programming a compiler ;)
-
@linuxer4fun well I've never done anything in assembly except a simple hello world. And I have windows, but I also have a raspberry pi. If we're doing a raspberry pi os I'd love to help. Without the raspberry pi, I don't have Linux.
-
@calmyourtities start using linux, it looks good on portfolio ;) completely migrated away from windows
-
@calmyourtities Dude I waited for years to have my own laptop and install Linux, when I finally got it it didn't last 5m with Windows, every second waiting was worth it
-
@linuxer4fun windows isn't that bad… sometimes. I think I'll stick with windows until I get a job. But I'd love to make a rasp pi os.
-
@linuxer4fun if I make an os its definitely gonna be a Linux modification tho ;)
-
@calmyourtities asmtutor.org atd googling ALOT. I managed to build a simple os, which could play pong and boot into my specific hardware
-
@calmyourtities yup!!! Making 0inux distros is shitty easy. There are even building-websites for it
-
@linuxer4fun I can't do it today I got a shitload of homework and the superbowl is on
-
@calmyourtities you dont even need to do it in the next five years. Coding is about fun, not about deadlines... Thats what I always tell studying people...
