I hate JavaScript.

This is a new one. Usually the hate in here is directed at PHP.

I know. And everyone loves JavaScript and I honestly don't get why.

Well to be honest, i love the oldschool js, where stuff took you a few lines..
But all the newskool bullshit and ES6789 coming up the last 2 years is horrible to manage.^^

I hate JavaScript too. But it's the best we've got at the moment.

That's weird, because JavaScript was just telling me what a swell person you are!

@corscheid php is an abomination to say the least, JavaScript is scripting gone wrong, it's not that bad for its speed, and you can always use something else on top of it and treat it like a low level thing (coffescript or haxe)

That should be the expected response from a dev who wrote JS. Its got bugs, bad design and monkey patches allover. If a dev says they "love" it then they did not understand it well. But it's everywhere so better accept it as is.

@LicensedCrime I went from sublime to atom to vscode. VScode is aupprisingly fast compared to atom.

Anyways web assembly will allow you to optimise those computation intensive parts of your program when it becomes more widely acceptable.
