WTF chrome/google?! Fuck you & your new designs & features!!
Anyone else got forced new grouping for tabs after the update?! Hey, you can group tabs in.. I know, I just don't want to!! It's fugly and annoying and counterproductive..
It used to work to change flags to not have that 'feature' but I can no longer force the old layout for tabs even with flags.. :/ It's driving me nuts..

    @iiii not everyone can use firefox. At work i can use ie, chrome and edge.

    @stop why?
    Then use edge. It's the same chrome but without bullshit

    @iiii some sites i use are unusable with edge.

    @stop sounds like some bullshit... Are they locked by user agent?
  • 0
    @iiii nope, just http basic auth.
  • 3
    @stop so why is it unusable with another browser?
  • 0
    @iiii i dont know why the edge developers removed http basic auth.

    Maybe people will finally learn not to use chrome all together

    It's weird how they implemented that recently when browsers like Vivaldi and Opera had that for years and weren't forcing it on users.

    @stop I smell BS.

    I connect daily to multiple sites with basic http auth. 0 issues.

    @jespersh They are forcing the grid layout I do not like. I want to be able to scroll through my tabs, look at titles.. not scroll and check the whole screen for tips on wth each tab contains.. I could probably/will have to get used to it, but it still annoys the fuck outta me that they change designs in such way and force it on their users..

    @iiii Nope. Url bar at the bottom.. don't like that shit either. // might be configurable, I have to check, but don't wanna do the switch only to find out later they'll pull same stunts like google with chrome..

    tab groups are exremely useful when jumping between projects at work all the time. Honestly don't see the problem with it.

    That’s the thing. They have all the right in the world to do whatever the fuck they want.
    It’s up to us whether we put up with it or move on to an alternative or in rare cases, try to change it.

    @sladuled url bar at the bottom? What are talking about?
  • 1
    @iiii On mobile, ff has url bar at the bottom...
  • 3
    @sladuled Settings > customize > toolbar > top

    Tab groups are very good for mobile, but I agree there should be options. And it should be easier to control the groups.

    @hack Tnx, will try out!
  • 0
    @sladuled easily configurable. Mine has it on the top as usual.

    @iiii Haha probably, yeah.. I'm a creature of habit, I haven't checked out the other browsers yet.. but looks like I'll have to do it soon :/

    @r20408e122449d true, but it's stuck up and people will complain. with every complaint they lose users, and they know if they keep doing this sh*t eventually they'll have no one since they dont have a monopoly.

    Chrome is the best for me.
