wicho25608yWould suggest elementary as well, but if you want something diferent. Antergos, Solus, Manjaro. And for DE's: Xfce for performance, Gnome Shell if you want to die, KDE if you want 2000's design or Cinnamon for prettier/heavier same experience as XFCE

boomi2358yIf you're interested in playing the Linux game, I'd suggest going with Debian and then install your environment of choice. it's a nice learning experience, having to work through some of the things that a distro like Ubuntu does for you.

Ill be the one: Stick with it. Their update routine is nice, i like the interface, its fast and stable.

Please try out KDE NEON / Mint KDE edition which comes with plasma 5.8.x
It is way more stable and good than people rant about it. -
Linux distributions are a matter of personal preference (mostly) so download a couple of them and boot up a vm and test them out.

silicon868yEverytime I see a recommendation with the caveat: 'it's a learning experience', I think what they mean is that it will be a pain in the ass to set up.
