@ostream isn't Bitcoin basically backed by the US dollar since it's value is determined solely by investors
-
@jak645 the moment i hear I'll start using that not I'll buy some is the day i believe in crypto

Bitcoin was a way of tracking everyone who thought they weren’t being tracked on their honeymoons in Thailand ! And a speculative entity meant to allow money laundering via exchange losses !
-
@Nanos nope but they originally advertised it that way lol once someone matched their wallet Id it’s over lol

iiii90854y@ostream I haven't said anything about it being good or a goal
Do not put words in my mouth -
@iiii this. Honestly, pure gold is still a solid investment. Also real estate and renewable energy. Sure its not like hedge funding but its solid and stable. Goes a long way.

@Nanos honestly guy. though I doubt it, I wouldnt be surprised this is the kind of genius thing they would do.

@Nanos imagine a whole age group of people that think they can make transactions for highly illegal things that are traceable at various endpoints and enough digging and bugging and those endpoints start getting exposed, especially when you consider how people might BUY the bitcoin.
tumblers werent around for awhile I don't think but they were designed for the very problem that wallet to wallet transactions are a clear exchange of money.
smarter people would do other things though.
you'd buy some crappy doll online or some failed product for bitcoin at markup and 'lose' some money between two or more parties disguising an illegal transaction.
I don't believe in bitcoin, Yes I said it.
