which I actually like and use and don't find "cute" in a girly way, as there is also deep pink and it's a light theme with good contrast and bright colors, nice for working next to a window on a sunny day

Horizon Dark

I just use the default dark, it works fine and it has very nice contrasts. Themes which were originally intended for something else and later adopted to VSCode usually work with a very narrow range of grays for the background.

@homo-lorens default dark could be much better with less saturation

@iiii I specifically like the distinct colors and how the controls stick out.

Best is default theme, everything else are opinions!
