I bought myself a small summer gift 😍
This may or may not encourage me to work more at home this summer.

    There's a laptop on a laptop?
    LaptopOverFlow?
    LaptopCeption?

What kind of set-up is this? Looks interesting.

It is a Asus Zenbook duo.
It has a great extra screen for some linux terminals or other things.

Looks cool! Want one. *checks bank balance* maybe next decade...

@lobelt now this is something different and real innovation.

Surely 10/10 on design but I wonder how good it is ergonomically to use it. How's your experience been so far?

Also you seem rich OP. Though I checked for my country and it is lot cheaper than Apple with better specs. πŸ˜‚

For my next laptop, I am confused between this and MS Surface. Lol

    Yes, I am indeed jealous.

@Floydimus is Surface even a laptop at all?
  • 0
@iiii what do you consider it then?
  • 0
@Floydimus a tablet. Thought it seems like they call anything a 'Surface'
  • 1
@iiii Well, there are versions. Some are laptops which are detachable and can be converted into a laptop.

Surface isn't a gaming or designing laptop. It's more targeted towards business users.

@Floydimus yeah, I'm a bit out of date. Surfaces started as tablets

    The laptops do look nice

@iiii Oh yes these ones. I once did a presentation during my engineering days.

I legit loved the idea and design back then, even when it seemed bulky.

Funny how MS redesigned and marketed it as tab+laptop

Good setup if you regularly work at desks other than your home or office.

@Floydimus na I’m not rich. On the contrary, I cant even pay my self a salary. Long story short: I owned a company with two other guys for about 12 years. Got feed up with one of the guy and forced a splitt of the company. I was the only developer so I got IP for all the tech, hardware and software and started a new company. They got to keep the existing company that actually makes money. I live on my wife now ;)
So it was my company that actually bought the laptop. But tes. It is a great setup as a complement to my workstation at the office. I do not have time for a vacation this summer. So now I can work at home and outside more and in the same time spend some time with my family.

@Floydimus ps the ergonimic is great when you use the extra peace of plastic where you can rest your palms on. Not without it. So you must bring that with you if you code/type alot. The extra screen is a key thing for me to be more effective when coding.

@lobelt awesome thanks for sharing and I hope you find good financial success soon :)

@lobelt not really. Laptops are an ergonomic nightmare with plastic or without it, just because of how they are shaped.
  • 1
@iiii yes it cannot compare with a real setup. But it can come close with correct chair height.
