I've never found a Windows UI simpler than 3.1

Marketing probably. New OSes always boost computer sales, and Microsoft probably wanted to cash in on that. Anyway, Windows 11 has some nice new features, like Teams baked in, support for android apps, widgets, UI overhaul, and a pseudo tiling WM.

I wouldn’t consider it a new version of windows, but it is a nice upgrade

The feature list though sounds more like an un-feature list... For all the stuff they'll remove.... Including resetting the start screen...
